At the beginning of autumn, a digital version of the overview 'TOP 40 of global education' was published, on which the Platform of Development Organizations - Ambrela collaborated together with the main compiler of the publication - the organization Fairtrade Czech Republic and Slovakia. The overview compactly and clearly maps 40 offers from 11 educational organizations in Slovakia.
If educators, active teachers and the professional public have not yet been familiar with the educational projects and their activities of Slovak non-governmental organizations, such as Human in Danger, CEEV Živica, Academia Istropolitana Nova, the Milan Šimečka Foundation, the Slovak Center for Communication and Development or the aforementioned Fairtrade Czech Republic and Slovakia, this publication provides an excellent orientation in the rich and diverse offer of programs, courses and materials of these organizations.
"We considered the creation of this overview to be necessary, because such a summary has been missing in Slovakia for a long time. At the same time, we realize that in a globally connected world, global education and education for global citizenship is one of the most important investments for the future," states Lukáš Bulko as the compiler of the publication Fairtrade Czech Republic and Slovakia. "We focused on information that will help teachers orient themselves in the possibilities - how to develop global and critical thinking and acquire skills necessary for the 21st century. This overview is proof of how the non-profit sector in Slovakia has become a dynamic and innovative actor in the field of education," adds Bulko.
