INTRODUCTION
Social work is a scientific discipline and a profession whose goal is to improve the quality of life of social clients. They are not only individuals, but also families, groups, various types of communities and institutions. The presented university textbook is aimed precisely at these target groups of clients. If in contemporary social work it is emphasized that the greatest expert on his life is the client himself, the social worker should be an expert in social work methods, the theoretical and practical knowledge of which is one of his key competencies.
The university textbook Selected chapters from methods of social work II is primarily intended for students of the master's degree in social work at the University of Health and Social Work in St. Alžbety in Bratislava and has the ambition to be a basic study material for the subjects social work with the family (chapter 2), methods of social work with the group and community (chapters 3 and 4), field social work (chapter 5) and an auxiliary study text for the subjects theory of social work (chapter 1) and social work in healthcare (subchapter 6.2).
The authors of the presented teaching texts are not only university teachers, but also most of them are practitioners who have extensive experience in working directly with clients. The author's collective consists mainly of educators from two workplaces of the University of Health and Social Work of St. Alžbety – Department of social work for the external form of master's studies in Bratislava and the Institute of Social Work of the Divine Mercy in Žilina.
The authors hope that the presented texts will help not only to improve the training of future social workers at the University of Health and Social Work St. Alžbety in Bratislava, but they will also be inspiring for students at other universities and social workers in direct work with clients.

CONCLUSION
The university textbook Selected chapters from methods of social work II is primarily intended for students of the master's study program social work at the University of Health and Social Work St. Elizabeth in Bratislava. Its goal is to present the theoretical concept of social work methods, which should form basic knowledge for their application in direct work with selected social work clients, especially family, group, community and institution.
In the first chapter, social work clients are presented, as well as the historical and epistemological theoretical framework of social work methods. The historical presentation was mainly based on the context of American social work with a connection to social work in the European, especially Czech-Slovak, environment. Terminologically, the terms method, technique, approach in social work, methodology and methodology of social work, as well as the close connection between theory, methods, practice and education in this discipline were mentioned. From the theoretical concepts, mainly systemic and systemic theories, social-ecological and anti-oppressive approaches were selected.
The second chapter is more narrowly focused on social work with the family as a specific client of social work. In it, we talk about the functionality of the family, individual methods and techniques of social work with the family in crisis and specific support programs.
The third chapter deals with social work with a group. It is a method of social work in which a small number of people, sharing similar interests or problems, meet regularly and engage in activities aimed at achieving chosen goals with the support, guidance or facilitation of a social worker. It is the presence and activity of a social worker that distinguishes group social work from group work used in other professions, such as psychology, psychotherapy, social pedagogy or andragogy. Within group social work, attention is paid mainly to group leadership, group dynamics, preparation and stages of group work.
The fourth chapter is based on a relatively broad understanding of the community as a client of social work. In addition to classic community work with the territorial community, attention is also paid to Roma communities and the therapeutic community. Considering the theoretical preparation of students for direct work with the Roma minority, the most important part of this chapter is the part about the historical development and ethnogenesis of the Roma.
The fifth chapter is focused on the specifics of field social work and street work. The sixth chapter is more broadly conceived with regard to selected institutions that belong to the newer target groups of social work. From the number of institutions where the activity of a social worker is necessary and appropriate, the company, health care and penitentiary facilities are selected. In them, the social worker can use several methods of social work, but taking into account the special character of the given institution and its organizations.
The presented university textbook aspires to be beneficial not only for students of social work at the University of Health and Social Work St. Alžbety in Bratislava, but also for students at other universities and social workers in direct work with clients.
