Depaul Slovakia operates low-threshold facilities for people on the street in Bratislava. It operates the only high-capacity low-threshold overnight shelter in the city and two shelters. In the St. Vincent de Paul overnight shelter, the service provides clients with accommodation, a hot dinner, breakfast, the possibility to shower, change, or wash their clothes. It also provides social counseling, assistance with obtaining documents and finding employment, and in some cases help with health problems. The facility is also available to clients who were rejected by other similar facilities (due to poor health, being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unsuitable behaviour, illnesses, or mental disorders, etc.). For clients in poor health, or clients who require all-day care, the organization operates two shelters with a total capacity of 55 beds. In the low-threshold overnight shelter, from which the photos are shown, services are provided to an average of 150 clients per day.
