Abstract

This paper focuses on designing the author-developed didactic aid ŠTVORČEG with the goal of developing pre-mathematical literacy. The paper includes proposals for pre-mathematical activities that can be carried out with preschool children through the created aid. The paper also points to the broad range of use of the ŠTVORČEG aid, including in other educational areas and in primary education.

Študentská vedecká odborná činnosť (ŠVOČ)

ŠVOČ offers students of universities the opportunity to prepare scholarly works on topics related to their field of study. The work was placed among the winning and best works in the individual sections of the 2022 competition at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. In April 2022, the work won the cross-faculty round in the bachelor’s section and was awarded the audience award. In June 2022, the work won the Czech-Slovak round of ŠVOČ 2022 in category K1 (seminar paper).
