The Ethical Code of Supervision was updated in 2024. Suggestions for its revision were voiced especially at the scientific conference “Professionalization of Supervision in Helping Professions” (Prešov, 23.11. 2023). The main reason was the performance of supervision through digital technologies and social networks, which also brought new ethical challenges.
The Ethical Code of Supervision was created in 2018 at the request of supervisors, participants in supervision training, and recipients of supervision. Its aspiration is to improve ethically sensitive practice in the performance of supervision. The text of the code recommends that this code be part of the supervision contract or of the comprehensive supervision program in the organization.
Dear colleagues, graduates of accredited education in supervision, We would like to draw your attention to the update of the Ethical Code of Supervision, which should help ensure the correct conduct of the supervisor, as well as the client, in formulating the supervision contract and in the supervision process itself. Acceptance of the Ethical Code of Supervision creates the предпpoklad for improving supervision work.
