Genocide of the Rohingya in Myanmar

The aim of the paper is to take a closer look at the issue of the Rohingya genocide in Myanmar. The paper begins with a description of the Rohingya ethnic group, along with a brief excursion into their past, as their history and evidence of their historical presence in Myanmar are important components of the crisis in that state. The Rohingya genocide in Myanmar is a conflict that the entire world merely watches, despite Myanmar's treaty obligations to various international human rights conventions. The paper demonstrates and elaborates on the genocide perpetrated against the Rohingya within the framework of the ten stages of genocide model written by Gregory H. Stanton, a professor dedicated to the research, study and prevention of genocide.
