In July 2018, at the general assemblies of the International Federation of Social Workers and the International Association of Schools of Social Work in Dublin, Ireland, a new “international ethical code” was approved, a document titled Statement of Ethical Principles (IFSW, 2018), which can be translated into Slovak as Statement on Ethical Principles (of social work). We present a working translation of this document, which will also be an important starting point for the revision of the Code of Ethics of the Social Worker and Social Work Assistant in October 2018.
