Working with Students' Personality Characteristics in Interpreting Instruction

Our work examines the views of students and interpreting teachers on working with students’ personality characteristics in the process of interpreter training. The theoretical part focuses on personality psychology and interpreting in the context of personality traits. In the practical part, we analyze the results of a questionnaire survey among interpreting students and interpreters. We focus on how these groups evaluate the importance of personality characteristics in the education of future interpreters and the possibilities of implementing this issue into teaching.
