The publication is primarily a summary, and its main purpose is to present comprehensively the 25-year history of the Children’s Folklore Ensemble Zlatý levík, to publish memories of former and current members, to organize traditional events, to participate in festivals, and to provide a brief overview of foreign guest ensembles. The author also discusses the essence of regional education, the importance of active and conscious work in an art school, and characterizes the broad work of the artistic group. The publication pays tribute to all teachers, folk musicians, professionals, and former as well as still active members who, in some way, belonged to the group over the last 25 years.

The author offers a valuable and truly comprehensive picture of the group’s work and its specific activities, supplemented by photo documentation, interviews, texts and scores of folk songs. The methodological approach of the publication (p. 31) is valuable, in which the reader gains an overview of the work of the artistic group, into the repository of various activities, through which systematic work gives birth to choreography and a complete performance can be put together. Here the author deems it important to list the competencies developed through singing, dancing, movement, or playing musical instruments. In our digitalized present, it is increasingly important for the adolescent generation to acquire genuine value: to become acquainted with folk music, historical past, customs, traditions, songs and dances of the surrounding environment and region. This not only enriches their experiences, but also develops their personality and identity, creates relationships and experiences, and further teaches them to accept and respect other cultures.
