The present time is marked by a family crisis in which basic family values are disappearing. Therefore this book was created with the aim of presenting an overview of the activities and pro-family programmes that the Church offers within its various associations and movements. It also seeks to point out the strengths and weaknesses of family care in the Church. The most important part of the book is the research with single mothers in crisis centres. The findings indicate frequently inadequate living conditions and insufficient support from the state in many areas. The book can be useful for parishes, family pastoral care, schools, and also individuals.
