The publication „Bullying and Cyberbullying in Practice“ was written by PhDr. Ľudmila Húsková, PhD., who works at the District Directorate of the Police Force in Martin, where she is a specialist officer in the prevention unit. The book reflects the author’s professional experience in case studies, which are the most original and, from the perspective of criminal-prevention prevention, the most useful part of the entire work. At the end of each chapter, individual resolution of the situation is provided on the assumption that legal formalities are fulfilled. The positive motivation resulting from the whole book can only help its readers in the future when a child becomes an aggressor or victim of unlawful conduct.
The author also addresses the psychological theme concerning aggression, its various manifestations and consequences in the process of cyberbullying and the subsequent transfer from the individual to the group. The author also systematically discusses in this publication the thematic interconnection between psychology and law. The point of intersection between both disciplines is their shared goal: modification of deviant behavior and, above all, the protection of society from its consequences, to which this publication should also contribute.
The publication is designed as a guide for parents, teachers, special educators, school psychologists, as well as the general public, to expand knowledge on this issue in order to enable early detection of the first signs and signals of bullying and cyberbullying.
