The published photographs are part of qualitative field research focused on individual and collective identity in the context of poverty and social exclusion. The research group includes residents of a segregated Roma settlement 3 km from the village of Letanovce, in the location of Letanovský mlyn in Slovak Paradise, district of Spišská Nová Ves. More than 800 Roma live in the settlement, in log huts without electricity, water supply and sewage. From a property-legal point of view, it is an illegal settlement. The photos were taken between April and June 2012.

The photographs meet the conditions of the author's own creative mental activity, which means that the author's rights to the work belong to her.
