Proceedings of the abstract of the 23rd conference of the Health Psychology Section of the Czech-Moravian Psychological Society, held on 20 - 22 - 5. 2016 in Vernířovice near Šumperk.

Introduction

Just as summer, autumn and winter come regularly every year, so does spring and hand in hand with it already the 5th electr. edition of the Proceedings abstract of the messages that will be presented at the 23rd national conference of the Health Psychology Section of the Czech Medical Association with international participation on May 20 – May 22, 2016 in Vernířovice u Šumperka.

The collection was prepared this year by the Department of Pedagogical and School Psychology, Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Ostrava in Ostrava. For this year, it took over this prestigious relay from the co-organizing workplaces, which are the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University in Prague and the Institute of Social Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in Hradec Králové.

We are glad that the spectrum of author contributions is expanding to include members who are not psychologists. In our opinion, this is proof that Health Psychology connects quite naturally with practice and thus proves its viability in other scientific fields with various concepts and applications, which are presented in the individual contributions of this Collection of abstracts. It brings positive approaches and topics not only about the soul, but also about the body through dentistry, surgery, physical education, etc. And we must not forget the new colleagues, who begin each year of the conference to fulfill more and more their contributions in the newly established student and poster section.

All contributions in this collection have passed the review process, for which we owe immense thanks to all reviewers who, outside of their work activities, pay attention to the quality and uniformity of the processing of submitted abstracts, as well as to the increasing trend of the professional level of the national conference of the Section of Health Psychology with international participation. We also want to thank the authors of the individual contributions, who responded quickly and finished their contributions in a high-quality way according to the reviewers' instructions.

We therefore believe that thanks to such cooperation, our conference this year will be as successful as in previous years.
