Proceedings of the abstract of the 21st conference of the Health Psychology Section of the ČMPS, Vernířovice, May 16 - May 18, 2014. Published by: © Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Hradec Králové and MSD s.r.o. Brno in cooperation with the health psychology section of the ČMPS Editor: prof. PhDr. Jiří Mareš, CSc. Introduction

Last year, that is in 2013, we celebrated two anniversaries together: 25 years of the existence of the Health Psychology Section at the Czech-Moravian Psychological Society (ČMPS) and the 20th anniversary of regular conferences of the Health Psychology Section at the ČMPS in Vernířovice near Šumperka. This year is the 21st conference.

In 2012, we started to publish a collection of abstracts from the conference Psychology of Health in Vernířovice. So this year, the third collection of abstracts is being published, which was prepared by the Department of Social Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in Hradec Králové in cooperation with MSD s.r.o. in Brno.

This third edition of the Proceedings of Abstract Communication is part of the national conference of the Psychology of Health section of the ČMPS with international participation held on May 16-18, 2014, as always, in Vernířovice.

When signing up for active participation, interested parties were also asked this year to complete the application with an abstract of their report with an established structure, which is mandatory for reports of an empirical nature. In the case of a communication of an overview nature, the given structure is understandably not mandatory. The abstracts of the communication were assessed by selected reviewers and the approved contributions were included in the conference program and in the Proceedings of the Abstract Communication. The anthology is divided into two basic parts: the first contains the abstracts of the papers (alphabetically according to the last names of their authors). In the second part, abstracts of the workshops. The workplace of the first, main author is indicated in the abstracts. Both parts are supplemented by an alphabetical index of authors with contact information.

For the Committee of the Health Psychology Section of the ČMPS Vladimír Kebza, Bohumil Koukola, Jiří Mareš guarantors of the professional program of the conference
