The fourth year of the conference We educate for the future was visited by almost 450 teachers from five Slovak regions and from various levels of education. Teachers, school principals and administrators of school networks could practically try out the most modern technologies that can be used in lessons. In addition to Bratislava, Košice and Žilina, the conference also visited Poprad and Lučenac for the first time, in order to support the efforts for the digital transformation of schools in these regions as well.

Technologies have become part of our lives and are gradually entering the teaching process in Slovak schools. Therefore, Microsoft and its partners work closely with innovative educators, thanks to which teaching in schools becomes modern and fresh. It is for teachers and school principals that the annual interactive conference We educate for the future is prepared, where they will receive the necessary information about technologies and their application in teaching in the form of lectures and interactive workshops. This year, the conference was held in five cities, always on school or university grounds - in Košice, Poprad, Lučenac, Žilina and Bratislava.
"The number of teachers who visit our conference is increasing from year to year, which is a clear signal to us that Slovak teachers want to teach in a modern and interactive way. They want to have up-to-date information on trends and news, which we can also see in how they participate in workshops and webinars throughout the year, not only at conferences," said Zuzana Molčanová, Teacher Engagement Manager in Microsoft Slovakia and the Czech Republic and the organizer of the conference.
Microsoft works with teachers throughout the year, not only during this series of conferences, and educators who are part of the global community of teachers participating in the digital transformation of schools - Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts (MIEE) - are also involved in spreading awareness among teachers. Today, 66 experts from the ranks of teachers work in this way in Slovakia, who often represent Slovakia abroad with their creative approaches.
Stepping out of the comfort of traditional teaching methods is not an easy process and requires a great deal of personal effort and investment of time in self-education on the part of teachers. "Our task and the goal of these meetings is to help teachers find what is most suitable for their school or teaching process. Technologies should only be a tool that will help prepare today's young people for the world of tomorrow. The center of our attention is always the teacher, because we believe that if a teacher can use technology meaningfully, it will help the overall process of digital transformation of the school," explained Marcela Havrilova, Director of Education, Microsoft. "Technology is not bad, you just need to know how to work with it and when we learn it, they can make the teaching process more interesting," concluded Radana Tuhárska from ZŠ M.R. Štefánik in Lučenec. "Children are taught to work with technology, and now we teachers should follow that path and learn to use technology in order to bring children the best education," added Martina Chabalová, ZŠ Liptovský Hrádok. "Experience says that the greatest motivation for a teacher is when he sees technology directly in practice through concrete examples of lessons or directly in class," said Ibolya Straussová, director of elementary school in Kechnec.

- Classroom as a team in the cloud
- How to teach using tablets in the first and second grade of elementary school
- How to use Minecraft in education
- Office 365 services for administrators
- Work with the Class Room Management System and content for the first and second grade of elementary school
- Experiments in a mobile laboratory - use of technology on natural science subjects
- Around the world via Skype
- Present innovatively and engagingly
