The demanding teaching profession needs professional pedagogical literature that helps educate and shape children and youth. The expert peer-reviewed monograph "Interesting artistic activity as a means of education in free time - Education for national traditions - Enjoyment I wants to support the field of work with children and youth in the subject of regional education, in school clubs, in art and after-school facilities. Our goal is to provide professional literature, the content of which can be used as suitable didactic-methodical material, which, within the given possibilities, tries to clarify the essence and meaning of free time in the life of children and youth, in which it is necessary to create a suitable social space for education about national traditions both in school and out-of-school environments, which will stimulate the development of children's interests, especially in younger and middle school age, in regional education.
The most important pedagogical knowledge and experience of the author regarding the education of national traditions, folklore in education, in music and the musical expression of singers - soloists and ensembles, confirm that the interesting artistic activity of children and youth is an important means of education and self-education of children, youth, but also adults. In order to preserve these traditions, it is necessary to establish folklore ensembles in school, art and extracurricular facilities, as well as to create suitable conditions for the meaningful and full use of free time, especially after the end of classes.
The presented monograph aims to support regional education and education of national traditions in the free time of children and youth as well as adults. It is based on the current situation and tries to propose approaches based on theory, but also on the author's own practical experience and many years of pedagogical experience. It is based on knowledge from Slovak and foreign professional literature, where it points to various theoretical analyzes and field research, innovative changes in the educational process and the organization of the work of current teachers. In the appendices you will find various ways and possibilities of specific implementation of proven project elements of traditional and folk culture in the innovative methodology of educational work with children and youth.

Preservation of identity is the most important task of education for national traditions in the formation of personality, which is also represented in interesting artistic activity, which we cannot imagine without experts in pedagogy, artists and bearers of traditions of folk culture. He studied at the Vít Nejedlý Conservatory in Roudnice nad Labem - Czech Republic, at the Bratislava Conservatory, Tolstého 11, at the University of Konstantin Filozofa in Nitra and at the Comenius University in Bratislava. He received the title doctor phlisophiae at the University of Trnava in Trnava.
He currently works at the Nové Zámky Basic Art School. His work is notable in the establishment of interest groups in the free time of children and youth. An important chapter of his artistic activity is his work with the Slovak children's folklore ensemble Zlatý levík, with which he performs a number of performances and concerts at various festivals, parades and competitions in Slovakia and abroad.
In 1994, he became the initiator and founder of the Novozámok Folklore Festival of children's folklore ensembles with international participation, he is its director and director. He is also the screenwriter and director of the musical programs Dialogues with Music, New Year's - Three Kings Concert, Everywhere smells like mom, etc.
He is the statutory representative - chairman of the Association for the Education of Children, Youth and Adults in Nové Zámky. He is the chairman of the Committee of the Civic Parliament of Slovakia for Education, Sports, Culture, Youth and Media. He is a member of the European Leisure Association in Prague. He publishes in the professional journals Educator, Pedagogical Perspectives, Učetelské noviny, Narodná osveta, Youth and Society, Youth of Europe. He cooperates with various cultural organizations. He is an editor and collector of folk songs, which he edits for children's and youth ensembles. He is the editor-in-chief of the children's magazine Školáčik. His pedagogic and musical publications, which help to develop leisure activities for children and youth, are significant.
He is the recipient of the Nové Zámky Mayor's Award for long-term active activity and contribution to the development of local culture and for spreading the good name of the city of Nové Zámky at home and abroad. He works on various stages in Slovakia and abroad as a concert artist, interpreting works from various stylistic periods on various musical instruments.
