PREFACE

After the successful last year's Colloquium of Case Studies conference, from which a collection of contributions was compiled, the second edition of the Colloquium of Case Studies is coming to readers. Individual contributions reflect the fates of people who have gone through a difficult life situation and a radical decision to change their lives. The authentic statements of individuals, which were enhanced by the academic environment, experts from the academic community and professional practice, managed to draw the listener into the issue of socio-pathological phenomena that the presenters encountered during their lives. The aim of the subject monograph remains preserved, in accordance with the process of the importance of a professional approach in three thematic and paradigmatic levels, which were already presented in the first monograph of this type. Narrative - the most concise interest of the general professional public in the professional solution of given pathological phenomena, reflexive-counseling - focusing on the individual needs of individual participants, co-participants and therapeutic - with a focus on support and help at every stage. We cannot leave out the professional discussions on the individual topics discussed, which are not included in this monograph. The considerable breadth of issues from the field of social work, law, healthcare, as well as other scientific fields stimulated the participants to a fruitful discussion not only after the presentation of individual contributions, but also during informal meetings within the conference. Finally, we would like to thank everyone who enriched the Colloquium of Case Studies with their life stories.
