During the last twenty years of building the third sector, many civic associations and organizations have grown up that have "stood on their feet", but there are still many that try to carry out their activities as conscientiously as possible, but they have to fight with various difficulties every day, despite the fact that their activities are irreplaceable for the state and its policies. We bring Proceedings from the conference organized by Združenie SK8 and the Standing Conference of Organizations of the Third Sector of the Slovak Republic. CONCLUSIONS FROM THE CONFERENCE
1) The joint conference was the first welcoming step towards mutual information and more active cooperation of self-governing regions and organizations of the third sector, associated in the Permanent Conference of organizations of the third sector in the Slovak Republic.
2) Conference participants recommend codifying future cooperation by concluding separate contractual relations with self-governing regions on specific conditions of cooperation in the given regions.
3) Participating representatives of regions and organizations of the third sector expressed their belief in the need to distribute funds from the cohesion funds of the European Union in the next programming period so that they are redistributed in the regions through self-governing regions and in cooperation with organizations of the third sector.
4) SK8 and SKTS in the Slovak Republic want to cooperate in the regions in the future on the support and promotion of national and cultural heritage, folk traditions and the legacy of important personalities and national figures.
5) Self-governing regions and organizations of the third sector have shown interest in developing mutual cooperation in areas and activities that are the common agenda of self-governing regions and the Standing Conference of Third Sector Organizations in the Slovak Republic.
6) SKTS and SK8 agreed on the creation of a common methodology for public benefit partnerships of VÚC and NGOs, which are oriented within their activities to social services, interest activities, for the field of education and youth and in the interest of increasing employment.
7) SKTS and SK8 agreed on the appointment of a specific representative from among the officials of the VÚC as an advisor for cooperation and partnership of the VÚC with NGOs in order to ensure close and effective cooperation not only with the chairman of the VÚC, but above all with the officials and deputies of the VÚC. His position will be understood as the deputy chairman of the VÚC for III. sector.
8) SKTS proposes to create space for experts - representatives of SKTS in advisory bodies and commissions of VÚC, especially in the areas of social, interest, environmental, education, science and youth.
9) SKTS and SK8 agreed on the creation of joint work teams focused on the processing of projects for the most important areas of activity within the VÚC and their joint submission to the relevant departments that manage the relevant EU funds.
10) SKTS and SK8 agreed to process the nomination of candidates for VÚC and the third sector to the project evaluation commissions for the relevant departments.
11) SKTS and SK8 have agreed to organize regular conferences, seminars, at least once a year, at which they will jointly evaluate cooperation and outline further directions for cooperation between VÚC and NGOs.

PERMANENT CONFERENCE OF ORGANIZATIONS III. SECTOR OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC
During the last twenty years of building the third sector, many civic associations and organizations have grown up that have "stood on their feet", but there are still many that try to carry out their activities as conscientiously as possible, but they have to fight with various difficulties every day, despite the fact that their activities are irreplaceable for the state and its policies.
One of the strategic goals of the Standing Conference of Organizations III. sector of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as SKTS) is the creation of a partnership with the Government of the Slovak Republic and individual departments, as well as the creation of cooperation with international institutions. SKTS created a platform of its members' organizations in order to streamline cooperation and create space for the realization of their goals, as well as financial assistance for its members.
SKTS is a civil association that was founded in 2010 and currently has more than 350 non-governmental organizations as members. On March 18, 2011, SKTS was accepted as the most representative national Slovak organization representing the III. the SR sector as a full member of the International Council for Social Development (ICSW). This council is the oldest and main organization of non-governmental organizations in the social field on a global scale. ICSW has an advisory status with the UN, ILO, UNICEF, UNDP, UNESCO, World Economic Forum, etc. Permanent Conference of Organizations III. sector of the Slovak Republic will also promote the interests of Slovak civil society in this way on the global forum and transfer the best results in this area to hundreds of Slovak organizations III. sector. The ICSW Steering Committee appreciated that the Standing Conference of the Organization III. sector of the Slovak Republic has fulfilled all the necessary requirements for granting the status of a full national member of the ICSW. On December 13, 2011, SKTS was accepted as a member of the Economic and Social Committee of the Slovak Republic in order to significantly contribute to deepening the development of dialogue within civil society in Slovakia as a new member.
