The Society for Research, Education and Application of Assistive Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Society) was established as a civil association based on the initiative of several university teachers with experience in the practical performance of social work. The motivation for the creation of the company was mainly to mediate some activities for further education on a regional basis, respecting its availability for specific interested parties. Furthermore, it was an effort to mediate innovative educational programs in helping sciences, providing counseling for individuals and families with social problems.
The experience of the members of the company also creates a prerequisite for the analysis and evaluation of the social problems of citizens with the aim of providing the obtained outputs to competent bodies and institutions and thus contributing to the improvement of social policy and incentives for legislative changes in this area. Related to this goal is the processing of professional expertise in the introduction and observance of innovative intervention methods, as well as the creation and implementation of projects in the helping sciences.
Part of the initiative of the members of the company is also the provision of supervision to helping professionals, especially in social assistance entities and other counseling facilities, the provision of super supervision, the organization and coordination of professional seminars, workshops and conferences with research issues and innovative forms of education, especially in the social field. The unique effort of the company is to support the creation of citizen counseling centers, to help the development of existing citizen counseling centers, as a natural prerequisite for conceptual and comprehensive assistance to citizens in an unfavorable social situation. The company's activity is aimed at informing the general public about issues related to research, education and the application of theory to the content of the activities of the helping sciences.
