The University of Health and Social Work of St. Elizabeth in Bratislava celebrated and commemorated this year the fifth anniversary of the establishment of its detached workplace, bl. Sáry Salkaházi in Rožňava and the one hundred and fifteenth anniversary of the birth of Bl. Sáry Salkaházi, patron of this detached workplace. Academic officials, teachers and students celebrated this jubilee with a meaningful activity - a scientific colloquium called QUO VADIS nursing and social work. This scientific monograph is the result of a scientific discussion of prominent experts and practitioners in the field of social work and nursing. Two scientific fields and experts were united by one common idea of helping a person, groups, and communities. This intention is contained in the chapters in which the authors describe the state of the current social policy, the process of managing the quality of services in the field of social care and in the health sector. When creating the monograph, the collective of authors used critical evaluation and systematically organized current knowledge on published topics. The reviewers and compilers are of the opinion that the work enriches social work and nursing with new knowledge that is the result of research processes and generates recommendations for the needs of practice.
