Scientific workers in the health department strive to grasp the concept of quality of life, scientific analysis of factors determining quality of life, overall health status and risks of possible diseases. However, the public is not aware of the fact that this issue has a multidimensional nature and affects other areas of social and scientific life as well.
Research shows that these topics must also be examined from the perspective of social work and nursing, as scientific fields and disciplines that know the methods of managing health deficits in accordance with the health and social policy of the state. They find ways to improve existing health conditions, e.g. by building a quality management system in healthcare or in facilities providing social services. Providers of comprehensive health care services are professionally qualified medical or social workers, who in the 21st century are offered the opportunity to prepare for the profession in accordance with European higher education criteria. Proof of their professional competence is the ability to keep documentation of the recipient of services and the ability to use an international communication language. Knowledge of applicable legislation and the ability to implement it in the care of a person, community or family is an integral part. These are the reasons for which the author's collective decided to process a scientific monograph with the given content.
The aim of the author's collective is to direct the attention of the general public to the above-mentioned contents and characteristics of the supplement chapters. The research results are an original finding that we do not recommend generalizing.
