The third year of the international conference Colloquium of case studies undoubtedly points to the importance of interdisciplinary, narrative and application reflection for theory and practice in the field of social work. The conference with the mentioned subtext deepens after the conferences already held, and the responses of experts, students, as well as the lay public encourage us to continue this line on academic grounds. We feel a great responsibility towards the experts, students and lay people who participated in the said conference.

A person experiences many situations during his biodromal life cycle, some of which need a solution through a professional multidisciplinary team. The conference touched on the current issue of children in foster care, specifically children living with professional parents, joint upbringing of a child with parents and a priest, human trafficking, homelessness, gambling, disability, aging and many other areas of human life. Professional contributions stimulated a rich professional discussion, new proposals and constructive comments on the presented issue. We want to express a big thank you to the speakers, whose often difficult performance and presentation of their story often froze the audience and stimulated deeper reflection.

The papers presented at the conference make up the contents of the proceedings that you are holding in your hands. We firmly believe that the mentioned collection will be a good professional teaching and educational aid for students and an exemplary example of good practice for experts working not only in the field of social work.
