Collection of contributions from IV. student conference organized by the Department of Christian Anthropology and Social Work of the Orthodox Theological Faculty of Prešov University.

Nowadays, warm relationships, selflessness and the need to help are disappearing between people. Values ​​that are inherent and natural to a person become archaic and unfashionable. The student conference set a goal - to look at the various problems of fellow citizens through the eyes of students of charity and social service. The presented collection forms a complementary part of IV. student conference and at the same time is its basic result. The issue of helping one's neighbor in the context of social work and charitable and social service is wide-ranging in content. Referees had a vast platform of topics to choose from, which was naturally reflected in its polythematic focus. The primary goal of the symposium was to open a student discussion on current topics in the field of charitable service, social work and related scientific fields. For many students, the conference was unique and also their first experience in presenting the results of their work in front of a professional audience. The presented articles therefore summarize the scientific achievements of young researchers.

The collection is divided into two parts. The first consists of conference papers presented at the student symposium. The second summarizes the papers of the members of the Scientific and Pedagogical Plenum and doctoral students of the Orthodox Faculty of Theology. We believe that the collection will be enriching and stimulating not only for students of charity and social service, but also for young researchers from related fields.
