PREFACE
Dear colleagues, colleagues. Within II. On the Belianske days of nursing, we present to you an extensive peer-reviewed collection entitled "Nursing between theory and practice", in which authors from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland present their experiences and perspectives on the theory and practice of nursing, which is often different. Our effort was to point out the fact that the practical realization of the theory of nursing contributes to the quality and development of the provision of nursing care. The practical use of nursing theory is the basis for the nurse to be able to apply the knowledge gained through study in practice and thus contribute to the introduction of new innovative methods in satisfying the patient's bio-psycho-social and spiritual needs. The idea of nursing without borders, which originated as an idea at the 1st Belian Nursing Days and was subsequently developed in the Polish city of Lodz at the Lodz Nursing Days, this time returned to the Tatras and, in cooperation with Polish colleagues, is gaining momentum, whether by the professional quality alone, but also by the numerous participation of nurses from both sides of the Tatras. We are also pleased with the increasing interest of Czech colleagues who have contributed to the collapse of further boundaries between nurses and midwives, resulting in intensive and constantly developing cooperation within nursing education. We believe that the presented collection will enrich your knowledge and will serve as a suitable source of information that you will subsequently apply in practice. We would like to thank the reviewers for their assessment of individual manuscripts.
