International Day of Midwives (May 5) and International Nurses Day (May 12) are annual days of global celebration of two demanding and noble professions. It is encouraging to see how many countries, politicians, and communities praise and thank nurses and midwives, but on the other hand, it is unpleasant that nurses in other countries face underappreciation, harassment, stigmatization, and even attacks.
